Hello! It's been a while. :D
What's new... well, it's Research Week at the department and I'm heading to Kansas City tomorrow to present my work so far. The OSAS Spring Social is on Sunday and I'm a guest judge for the cosplay contest this year.
I have no idea what to wear! I was going to wear Gou but I haven't ordered her wig or contacts yet (wig more importantly). I haven't even finished her costume but I can always pull things from my closet.
I also have Mikasa but I don't have a wig for her yet either... damn.
Let's see... I've got Ciel, C.C. and Vanellope with me. I could wear Vanellope!

It's a scary question my mother will randomly bring up.

Stop watching anime. Stop reading manga. Stop cosplaying.
I'm sure if she knew I had been writing fanfiction for almost ten years, she'd ask me if I was going to stop that too.
What? Just because I'm an adult? Just because I'm in graduate school?
I've been very careful, ever since I was twelve years old, to keep my personal and public lives separate. If you're lucky, I have links from personal to public, but not the other way around. Sometimes, the things I do in the real world affect the persona I present in public.

School starts on Monday and despite it all, it seems like nothing has changed.
But it has. I'm now a graduate student and a teaching assistant. My best friend will be my student and I will have to pay extra attention so as to not give her special attention. I'm working my first actual, income tax-deducting job and I've been told I will be overworked and underpaid.
Portal has not picked a project for the upcoming year at all and we haven't discussed it period. We've been granted an opportunity of a lifetime to represent ourselves and that's all I can think of at the moment. Which is terrible because I'm sick and should be preparing for class
